Here's what I've come to understand through years of reading scripture: salvation comes through confessing that Jesus is Lord and trusting only in him (Romans 10:9-10). Jesus is the ONLY way we're welcomed into a real relationship with God.

Now, I do write often about Jesus' sacrifice—how he gave himself once for all, covering the sins of the whole world, even the sins of those who turn away from him. That gift is wide enough for everyone. But a gift still has to be accepted. God won't force his way into your life.
