Imagine getting a letter from Paul saying he was headed your way. Not just to say hello—to preach, to teach, maybe to watch the Holy Spirit move in ways you'd only heard about. That's the anticipation buzzing behind this one short verse: "I know that when I come to you, I will come in the full measure of the blessing of Christ."

Notice how sure he sounds. There's no hedging, no "I hope things go well." Paul writes with flat-out confidence. But don't mistake that for arrogance. He said elsewhere, "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord" (1 Corinthians 1:31), and that's exactly where his boldness came from. He knew who he was in Christ. He knew the gospel inside and out, knew he'd been set apart to carry it (Romans 1:1), and knew the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead was living inside him (Romans 8:11). When you're that certain of what God has done, saying "I'll show up carrying the full blessing" isn't bragging. It's just telling the truth.

And it happened—though not the way you'd expect. By the time Paul finally reached Rome, he was under house arrest. Chains, guards, the works. You'd think that would shut the whole thing down. It didn't. Luke tells us, "For two whole years Paul stayed there in his own rented house and welcomed all who came to see him. Boldly and without hindrance he preached the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ" (Acts 28:30-31). Read that again. Without hindrance. A prisoner, and yet the blessing flowed freely, his words backed up by God's power the entire time.

How? Because Paul understood the blessing wasn't tied to his circumstances. It didn't dry up when trouble showed up. He chose to walk in it, and no one—not a guard, not a chain, not a hostile crowd—got a vote in the matter.

Here's what I don't want you to miss: that same full blessing is already yours. It's not something God doles out on your good days and withholds on your bad ones. He handed it to you the moment you put your faith in Jesus. He gave you His Spirit to teach you, guide you, and confirm His word in your life. This blessing is your birthright as His child—not a reward you're still earning.

So you get to choose, just like Paul did. You can walk through your day dragging your feet, or you can walk in the abundance that's already been given. The more you know God and grasp what He's actually done for you, the more naturally you'll live in His power. Picture what your ordinary Tuesday would look like if you truly believed the kingdom of God goes with you everywhere you set your foot.

You carry something remarkable inside you. Live like it's true, because it is.
